If “strangers in their own land” applies to PNG journos, support ought rain down on the dam that prevents the free flow access to which they and so many others should have had.

For the remainder of APEC, they should be facilitated and receive an apology from operatives and ‘leaders’ who may have actioned the ban.

The same disadvantaged PNG journos and their organisations, nonetheless, might have casuistry (not pejoratively) on their own agenda when next they huddle to consider their news reporting products and ratings of performance among expectations both in-country and globally. Otherwise score poor and gnaw.

Rebuff this ain’t. Resolve is the point. Question and test each that assumes “authority”. And tell all.

Seems like the world’s elites love these tokfests.

Many of the big-guys coming to APEC are now meeting in Singapore for its ASEAN chums' time together.

So all the glowing expectations of PNG’s get together means just another stopover in different surroundings but at the usual five star accommodation with luxury meals.

Wonder where the next meeting will be. After all they did the UN thing last month didn’t they. Don’t they get fed up with seeing the same old faces as they globetrot?

As Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra sang in Cole porter’s 1956 movie ‘High Society’:
Have you heard? It's in the stars
Next July we collide with Mars.
Well, did you evah?
What a swell party, swell party
Swelligant, elegant party this is!
