Spot on Gabriel.

Not only would it make a lot of PNGns happy but it would also be a statement by Australia about how it regards PNG people.

Get climate change and visas right and then concentrate on the other stuff like military bases.

It also intrigues me that Australia wants to set up diplomatic posts in Niue and the Cook Islands.

That said, can I put my hand up for the Cooks?

Gabriel Ramoi

No matter what Australia's intentions are in the Pacific vis a vis China's growing influence in the region, it must first get the small things right.

Our citizens currently receive visas on arrival for 30 days in Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. This privilege is however denied them in Australia.

Fix this up first if you want to be a true friend of PNG. Maski maus wara.
