Phil, The Alliance's theme is to curb corruption in PNG that is in epidemic proportion.

I firmly believe that the kind of leadership exerted by the kiaps in PNG's early days is a missing link.

Giving the former kiaps a chance to associate with this adventurous political party will create positive waves.

Bryan, there is a large body of Australians who once worked in Papua New Guinea, many of them as kiaps, teachers, cooperative and agricultural officers. They are mostly retired but retain an active interest in Papua New Guinea.

For a party like The Alliance they could be a valuable resource.

I notice that you are offering membership to people from abroad, presumably expatriate Papua New Guineans, but I think these Australians probably fit into another category. Maybe not as members but as associates.

Would you consider setting up such a category? I, for one, would consider joining. There would be a political risk of course with accusations of neo-colonialism but I think set up the right way it could work.
