Why can't authorities step in charged police commissioner for contempt of court for not executing the warrant for arrest on PM? This two think can do anything under the sun and Papua New Guineans will just watch their dictatorial way of running PNG

Philip, Right on the button, When will it get pressed!

Greedy & stubborn leaders
need to wake up
from their stupidity.

O'Neill and Baki graduated
from pig farm university
to run our animal farm
as the dictators of ourselves
feeding their animals with
dry grass not our green grasses
seemingly above the law
perhaps one day to be resurrected
to hell
to look up to a heaven-run farm
with a better conscience

The right below is enshrined in Article 14 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights:

1. All persons shall be equal before the courts and tribunals. In the determination of any criminal charge against him, or of his rights and obligations in a suit at law, everyone shall be entitled to a fair and public hearing by a competent, independent and impartial tribunal established by law.

Yet to repeat George Orwell's classic dictum from 'Animal Farm': 'Everyone is equal. But some are more equal than others'........

Apparently Orwell's recognised aberration obviously applies to the PM when the CoP Gari Baki inferred recently in the media that when dealing with the PM a different and more sensitive set of protocols apply?

To answer your question Sir Mekere, when your tenure in your position is beholden to the PM's whim, it seems it may not pay to apply the law fairly without fear or favour.

But then we all knew that long ago didn't we?

Why did someone like Sir Julius Chan throw in his lot with Peter O'Neill?

Maybe to further his dream of an independent or autonomous New Ireland.

Or perhaps he sees O'Neill as ripe for the picking.

Maybe that's why Charles Abel is in there too. Charles is not beyond stacking the odds in his favour, just ask his father.

If I was Peter O'Neill I'd be watching my back very closely.
