Thank you Gretel, Martyn, Ruth, Baka and Joycelin. You all pulled through. Thank you also to all those in the background.

We are having a great start this year, 2017. We have been featured on all TV stations in PNG. Some of these programs have been on repeated on these TV stations. We have also been on the radio.

However, we are not clear on the reach of coverage in PNG.

We are beginning to receive entries and this is exciting.

I would like to appeal to you all to check our Facebook page - The Crocodile Prize - and share the posts on your page. Add stuff related to books and writing. Could you also please also add your friends onto the page.

If you know also of anyone who is a teacher, please talk to them about the Crocodile Prize. Encourage them to talk to their students.

Thank you all for 2016, lets see if 2017 can be better.

The Crocodile Prize is a great initiative and will indeed help in promoting the importance of literature in PNG.

Now with technology and the rise of social media access, we can use that as a tool to promote Literature. But then again Crocodile Prize needs all the support it can get.

I love and enjoy working with the Crocodile Prize because books have always been a passion of mine. The Crocodile Prize competition creates a space where people can be free to express themselves through words and that is a cause worth pushing for.

I would like to congratulate the members of the committee for the great job well done. Thank you to the founders Phil and Keith for the never ending support, and a big thank you to the sponsors of the 2016 Crocodile Prize competition.

Thank you to the sponsors that have pledged to sponsor the 2017 Crocodile Prize competition.

We are excited to have two new categories in this year's competition, which are scriptwriting sponsored by the Moresby Arts Theatre and the Facebook & NBC Radio tri-monthly competition which is sponsored by the Haltmeier Family.

I am very excited for the 2017 Crocodile Prize Competition and I hope you all share my excitement and passion for literature in PNG.

Please if there is anyone who wants to support and sponsor the Crocodile Prize, do not hesitate to contact us through crocprize@gmail.com.

I would also like to extend an invitation to those who are willing to volunteer their time and support for the Crocodile Prize.

Thank you once more to everyone for your support for the Crocodile Prize, this would not have been a success without the support and participation of everyone.
