I read Edgar Allan Poe’s famous ‘Premature Burial’ many years ago, when I was about 17. Its plot has stayed with me ever since. Particularly the ending. Well worth a read even 172 years after he wrote it.

Phil, if you look up "premature burial" on the web you will find many reported incidents of people being buried alive. Unfortunate, but hopefully modern medical equipment can reduce the number of premature burials.

Papua New Guinean Christians attempting to end people's lives before they were called. I had a good smile thinking, why would people do that?

Great stories, Gary. Indeed interesting. You have been around long enough to to come across many incidents like this. Keep posting some more of your experiences. Thank uou.

It makes you wonder how many live people have been buried in their coffins Garry.

Mysterious, amazing and amusing yarns to share with children.
