It saddens me to read articles by "respected" journalists who "push a particular barrow" without giving in depth consideration to the issue. To blame Tony Abbott for the loss of Sean is drawing a long bow. Certainly the budget of the ABC was cut. Where the internal savings were made was a matter for ABC management. How many senior management positions were removed? How many "shock jock" (highly paid) popular talk back presenters (not real investigative journalists)were terminated? Perhaps if the ABC concentrated on providing genuine informative journalism instead of obsession with "ratings" we would get better value for money.

An example of why right-wingers like Tony Abbott should not be indulged in their misappropriation of the term "conservative". Conserving is precisely what they do not do.

Sad actually. Myself from Panguna do live day in day out with Radio Australia and not this PNG NBC which is sickening.
