I too wish to congratulate my former student from Fatima High School in the 1970s, Bishop Arnold Orowae. Great statement. Very serious problem. Keep well and stay close to Christ.

I would like to congratulate Bishop Arnold Orowae of Wabag because of his recent press-release against sanguma (sorcery) accusations. As many people know, unfortunately, the rise of violence related to sorcery accusations in Papua New Guinea is causing many deaths every year.

The Catholic Church is working on the issue with several initiatives, and yesterday, Bishop Orowae took another important step. His strong statement against sorcery accusations is worthy to be read.

Congratulations to Bishop Arnold Orowae. I was once his student (philosophy) and he was truly a great servant of God. Wish him success in this new role.
