Writing for children by Papua New Guineans was fostered very successfully by a New Zealand aid funded School Journals project over quite a few years.

I hope the organisers of the seminar mentioned above will try to involve some of the successful contributors to that project and build on that success rather than reinvent the wheel (as happens regularly in PNG).

The Curriculum Development Division of the Department of Education should be able to provide names of authors who contributed to the journals.
