Thank you Fr Giorgio for making those points clear.

One key factor needs to be made very, very clear.

The UniTech student action is not the sole result of internet social networking.

It is the result of communication followed up with real-live-in-the-flesh human cooperation, consensus, collective and affirmative action.

Social media remains a tool to empower by informing, to connect and organise actions.

It is not a power in itself.

I hope this lesson on how democracy works can be replicated all over PNG. May social media be further used to block the unfair actions of authoritarian leaders.

May there be many more men and women in PNG who will stand up for what is fair and right and provide justice for all.

May all schools and tertiary institutions be places of high moral standing and follow the seventh commandment. Also it would be good if all PNG government agreed to follow this commandment.
