Thank you all for the compliments.

That was just something written to balance my sentiments for my aging parents as I have also written one for mom.

The settings of both poems are none other than that of my little island home; Tarawai, which is off the coast of Wewak.

Thanks once's very rewarding for me!

Something quite touching about this poem.

That's rather a nice poem, David. The sentiment is nicely expressed in an easygoing style.

As someone with saggy skin and grey hairs I can relate to it from the other side.

A nice counterpoint to all those poems that have appeared here about mothers.

Dad's Rule!

Makes me wonder what my children see in my ageing frame. Like it.

Heart breaking piece for me who just had a war to steal pa from me denying me to watch the beautiful sun that nurtured me fade away slowly to the dictate of time.
