I'm hopeful that Milne Bay Province people will air their views on this... or this 'dimdim' will :)

I love these pointless exercises in semantics; especially when people try to impute Western motives on non-Western societies.

A pity more "international" events of similar peaceful and mutually beneficial activities could not be implemented... Reducing a need for 'government', 'defence forces', 'trade barriers/agreements', that promoted long distance visits, trade and friendships.

A simple sports event with a perpetual trophy would suffice, with the PNG Government encouraging visits from Solomon Islands, New Britain, Torres Strait (PNG & Queensland). I would love to help in that...
