Spark* believes that local problems are best solved with solutions developed by local people. Spark* PNG achieves this by finding, training, supporting and funding Papua New Guineans with the exceptional ability to create and influence social change.
Spark* PNG is affiliated to Spark* International, a global not-for-profit organisation that finds, trains, supports and funds change-makers and social entrepreneurs in three countries around the world.
It is holding its 2014 Accelerator, where the 2014 change-makers come together for one week’s intensive entrepreneurship training, from 7-12 February.
The program is for people who can get things done, and have proven this in the past and are passionate about improving the lives of people living in poverty in Papua New Guinea.
Participants should also be founders of a non-profit organisation, for profit business, or social enterprise that exists to improve the lives of people living in poverty.
Applications close on 12 January and successful applicants will be notified on 16th January.
Spark* PNG is also hiring a new executive director responsible for the day-to-day management of the organisation.
