Having lived amongst and visited isolated areas, I was able to meet with the beautiful people who had been able to survive without any outside assistance for centuries.
I always admired their amazing ability to sustain a good life.
In more recent times, of course, even the most remote people have heard about the facilities and opportunities that exist outside their isolated communities.
Their health has been put at risk with the introduction of new diseases, making it essential that they have access to modern medicine.
For centuries they have had to deal with malaria without medication; they did this by building up immunity.
But such immunity does not exist for the new introduced diseases.
The politicians have failed these communities, ignoring their plight in favour of their own personal wealth and luxurious comfort.
Thank God that there are some honest citizens now fighting this greed and campaigning for the underprivileged.
My photographs highlight the plight of these isolated communities. I hope the politicians take notice.
Greed may provide immediate comfort but there will be a price to pay eventually.
You’ve made billions out of our rain forest, but where is our bridge
This is our mansion shared by all of us. Do the politicians have a better mansion than this? We hope not
