I am truly proud of another PNG book telling the world about our very own unique culture. I think "Beautiful Tufi" is a stunning and great way of giving a title to a book.
I do not know who Jan Hasselberg is. But by seeing the front cover of the book makes me personally feel who Jan Hasselberg is.
To all readers and writers out there, it is about time we help in every way to contribute keeping our culture alive.
As a PNG Studies student at Divine Word University, I am so privileged to see and understand why PNG culture is so important.
I hope this book will be a pleasant and a enjoyable one to read. Tufi: a place to be.....

I know this would be a turning point for the Tufi to see our book to be launched tomorrow. Am sure you all will love Mr Jan Hasselberg for his wonderful story written on our homeground.
This book will really show the whole world about our cultural and traditional way of life. I am proud and I know you all are very happy to hear the remarks from the other Tufis.
Big thanks to Tufi Dive Resort for accommodating and providing the taste and glimpse for our visitors. And also the local tour guides for your support to the resort.
I wish you all will continue your great job! Very big thanks to the village team to give some insights to Jan Hasselberg to write this attractive book. Hope this book will give some good feedback to PNG!

Some years ago I learnt from the Internet of Jan’s wanderings around the Tufi District and first met him in a reasonably remote Tufi village in 2011 during my Australian Business Volunteers Tufi Ecotourism Study – Tufi Walkabout and Village Stays.
I’ve absolutely no doubt Jan’s Beautiful Tufi will reflect the same “heart for Tufi” that I’ve also had since being posted there as Patrol Officer 1970-72. The place and the people are Truly Beautiful.
