The harm to the environment and to the surrounding ocean has occurred has a direct results of this operation. And not too far away, the toxic waste from Lihir gold operation are being dumped into the oceans. A double whammy.

Damage to the natural resources are evident for all to see as a results of these operations. Significant harm has occurred to the communities in the immediate and the surrounding areas of the operations.

It includes harm to the people themselves, sites and items of cultural significance like 'shark calling' ritual as well as disruption to the people normal life styles and interactions.

There is so much that is wrong about the operation. Do we need this? Most certainly not. And there is only one answer to it. Stop it altogether.
