THE HURI DUNA Dancers (also known as the Huli Wigmen) are currently performing at the Womadelaide festival – their first appearance outside PNG.
“The dancers present their traditional cultural celebrations, called singsings,” declares the publicity.
“Decorating their bodies with coloured clay, vivid costumes and intricate headdresses, woven from human hair and decorated with feathers, the troupe will present traditional dance and song while roaming Botanic Park.”
